It's been a dream for forever for our family and here's the first step....I will board the first plane with 3 of our 4 children on Sunday at 6 am. Wpg-Van-Toyko! We will explore Tokyo for one evening and night and then head to Bangkok. Bags are packed...all left to pack is electronics and cords and toothbrushes!
Last year at this time, we felt dread. We knew the closeness of God, family and community in new ways as we waited for the holidays to end and surgery to take place. The dread and sadness of a new diagnosis. The thought of our son having open heart surgery right after Christmas was a weight we had to bear. So with a corner turned, a new emotion is felt in our family.
It's a new page in our journey...a new light in our story; for this we thank God every time we remember.
So with a light step, we embark....it's a risk to go in many respects but as a friend commented the other night...it's a risk not to go.
Pray for us! It's hard to leave family and friends at Christmas but we trust God with you all and look forward to seeing you in March.
